Studio Sound — the closest thing to a real audio engineer
If Descript only shipped Studio Sound, I would still pay for it. It is an AI audio enhancement toggle that strips out room echo, HVAC hum, keyboard clicks, and the hollow bedroom-mic sound that plagues 90% of new YouTube channels. One click and my $99 USB microphone recorded in a carpeted spare room sounds like a treated podcast studio.
It is not lossless — very loud clothing rustle or a screaming toddler in the next room will still leak through — but for normal talking-head audio it is the single biggest quality upgrade I have ever gotten from a software feature.
